Super League Referees Announced for Round Nine

The officiating teams for the upcoming Round Nine fixtures in the Super League have been confirmed. Notably, Chris Kendall has been granted a week off after personally requesting the time away from the RFL Referees’ team.

The action kicks off on Thursday as league leaders St Helens, fresh off a dominant 58-0 victory over Hull FC, host an in-form Huddersfield Giants side coming off an impressive 30-24 win over Leeds Rhinos. Liam Moore will take charge as the referee, with Ben Thaler supporting as the video official.

Friday sees a double-header, with struggling sides Castleford Tigers and London Broncos looking to secure a much-needed win. Jack Smith will referee this encounter, with Marcus Griffiths as the video official. Elsewhere, the Leigh Leopards welcome Catalans Dragons, with Aaron Moore as the man in the middle and James Vella in the video booth.

The final Friday fixture pits Hull KR against Wigan Warriors, following the Robins’ heavy defeat to Catalans last time out. Tom Grant will referee, while Liam Moore takes on video official duties.

Salford Red Devils, buoyed by the news that Paul Rowley will remain at the club, host Warrington Wolves on Saturday, with James Vella as the referee and Tom Grant as the video official.
