Aidan Sezer Set for Hull FC Move in 2025 After Wests Tigers Departure
Rugby league veteran Aidan Sezer will make a highly anticipated return to the English Super League next season, as he has reportedly agreed to join Hull FC in 2025.
The experienced half-back, who has previously played for Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants in the UK, will be released from his contract with the Wests Tigers at the end of the current NRL campaign. This move comes as the Tigers undergo significant roster changes, including the acquisition of Penrith Panthers star Jarome Luai on a lucrative deal.
Sezer’s presence at the Tigers was intended to provide guidance for the club’s young playmakers, with Benji Marshall bringing him on board at the start of this season. However, the emergence of talented youngster Lachlan Galvin has altered the Tigers’ half-back plans for the future, effectively making Sezer expendable.
This turn of events has paved the way for Sezer’s return to Super League, where he will join Hull FC in 2025. The Black and Whites had been searching for a reliable half-back after missing out on the services of Lachlan Lam, who opted to remain with the Leigh Leopards.
With the departure of Jake Trueman to Wakefield Trinity at the end of the current season, Hull FC have found their ideal replacement in Sezer. The 31-year-old playmaker will be joining the club on a multi-year contract, bringing his wealth of experience and leadership to bolster the squad.
Sezer’s journey in the UK has seen him excel with both the Giants and the Rhinos, where he spent four seasons between 2020 and 2023. His impending return to the Super League will undoubtedly be welcomed by rugby league enthusiasts, as they eagerly anticipate his contribution to Hull FC’s pursuit of success.
