Veteran Samoa International Carlos Tuimavave Signs with Featherstone Rovers

Veteran Samoa International Joins Featherstone Rovers

Former Samoa international Carlos Tuimavave has signed a two-year contract with Championship club Featherstone Rovers, following his departure from Super League side Hull FC. The 32-year-old centre spent nine successful seasons with Hull, scoring 57 tries in 182 appearances and helping the club win back-to-back Challenge Cups in 2016 and 2017.

Tuimavave, who made his NRL debut for the New Zealand Warriors in 2012 and went on to earn 14 caps in the league, is eager to take on a new challenge with Featherstone.

“As soon as I heard they were interested, I jumped at the chance to sign,” he said. “Rovers is an impressive club with bags of ambition, and I’m looking forward to adding some experience to the side and helping the younger squad members.”

Featherstone coach James Ford is thrilled to have secured Tuimavave’s services, hailing him as “one of the most professional and experienced outside-backs in the game.” Ford believes Tuimavave’s pedigree and proven track record of performing in big games will be “invaluable” for the club, both on and off the field.

“It’s a huge coup to bring someone of Carlos’ stature to the club,” said Ford. “We’re delighted to bring him on board.”

The veteran’s arrival at Featherstone Rovers will undoubtedly bolster the club’s ambitions ahead of the 2025 Championship campaign, as they look to draw on Tuimavave’s wealth of experience and expertise to drive their success.
