Several of the league’s biggest names are potentially staring at suspensions, following a series of controversial incidents throughout the weekend’s fixtures.
Makinson and Blake Under Scrutiny
Leading the list is St Helens winger Tommy Makinson, who was shown a straight red card late in his side’s heavy defeat to Hull KR. Makinson’s dangerous high tackle on Tyrone May, with contact made to the head, is likely to result in a suspension, further compounding a miserable day for Saints coach Paul Wellens.
