Prop forward Franklin Pele has quickly found a new home after being released from Hull FC, joining the Bradford Bulls in the Championship. However, Pele’s debut for the Bulls was a familiar story, as he found himself sin-binned just like on his Super League debut with Hull FC.
Pele’s time at Hull FC was marked by a memorable impact on the field, both positive and negative. On his Super League debut, the forward delivered a huge legal shot on Hull KR captain Elliot Minchella, only to follow it up with an illegal swinging arm to the face. This mix of physicality and indiscipline seemed to sum up Pele’s stint at the MKM Stadium, which ultimately resulted in the club releasing him in the past fortnight.
Despite the unceremonious end to his time at Hull FC, Pele has wasted no time in securing a new opportunity, becoming the third player from the Super League club to join the Bradford Bulls this season, alongside Liam Tindall and Jayden Okunbor.
