Rugby League Veteran Ben Reynolds Secures Long-Term Future with Featherstone Rovers
Former Super League star Ben Reynolds has committed his long-term future to Championship side Featherstone Rovers, penning a new three-year deal with the club.
The 30-year-old half-back had a tumultuous 2024 season, featuring 16 times for his boyhood club Featherstone across three separate stints. After joining Fev at the end of the 2023 campaign, Reynolds began the year playing for them in the 1895 Cup before being snapped up by Super League outfit Hull KR on a two-year contract.
However, the veteran playmaker made just two appearances for the Robins, sandwiching a game back with Fev on dual-registration, before joining rivals Hull FC on loan. He was then recalled by Hull KR and immediately released, allowing him to return to Featherstone on a permanent basis.
“I’m delighted to have signed a new deal here at Featherstone,” said Reynolds. “After I rejoined the club, the growth we made together as a group I feel was there for all to see and I’m excited to see what we can achieve over the next few seasons.”
Featherstone Rovers Delighted to Secure Reynolds’ Services
Featherstone head coach James Ford expressed his delight at securing the long-term services of the experienced half-back.
“Even though Ben spent some time away from the club last season, the impact he made at the start of the year and then once he returned was huge, so we’re thrilled to be able to sign him up long-term,” Ford said.
In addition to Featherstone, Leigh Leopards, and the clubs already mentioned, Reynolds has also featured for York, Dewsbury Rams, Castleford Tigers, and Doncaster during his career. The Challenge Cup winner with Leigh in 2023 has amassed a total of 210 senior appearances, 70 tries, 563 goals, and one drop goal.
