Castleford Tigers Secure Twins Innes and Louis Senior on Two-Year Deals
In a move that has delighted their loyal fan base, Castleford Tigers have officially secured the services of twin brothers Innes and Louis Senior on two-year contracts. The talented duo, who initially joined the club on loan deals earlier this year, have now committed their long-term futures to the Fords.
Innes Senior: A Revelation for Castleford
Innes Senior, who hails from Huddersfield Giants, has been a revelation for Castleford this season, emerging as the third-highest try scorer in the Betfred Super League. His impressive try-scoring exploits, which have included a four-try haul against Salford Red Devils, have earned him high praise from the club’s Director of Rugby, Danny Wilson.
“Innes came into the squad as a fringe player, but he has perfectly embodied our DNA of big, tall, and athletic outside backs,” Wilson commented. “He’s been a revelation, and his status as one of the top try scorers in Super League is a testament to his finishing ability.”
Louis Senior Follows in His Brother’s Footsteps
Seeing the success of his twin brother, Louis Senior, who joined from Hull KR and scored on his debut against Wigan as well as twice in an exciting draw against Leigh Leopards, Castleford moved quickly to secure both players on permanent deals.
“When you see what Innes is doing, you can’t help but think, ‘If only we could find another just like him,'” Wilson continued. “Luckily, he has a twin brother, and Louis has come in and done exactly the same, scoring full-length tries and finishing opportunities brilliantly. To have the opportunity to play like for like on either wing is only good for Castleford moving forward, and the potential of our backline is very exciting.”
The signing of the Senior twins is the latest in a string of high-profile re-signings for the Castleford Tigers, as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for honors in the Betfred Super League.
