Hull KR’s Corey Hall Has Joined Castleford Tigers in a Player Swap
Player Swap Between Hull KR and Castleford Tigers
Corey Hall has joined Castleford Tigers in a player swap, with Jack Broadbent heading in the opposite direction. Hall’s loan move to Castleford will run until the end of the season, while Broadbent will join the Robins on loan before securing a permanent three-year deal starting next season.
The future beyond this year remains undecided for Hall, but his former teammate Louis Senior has agreed to extend his stay at Castleford for the remainder of 2024.
This is just the latest in a long line of transfers between the two clubs. In the last 18 months alone, Castleford have signed eight players directly from Hull KR, either on permanent or loan deals.
The initial move came at the start of the 2023 season, when prop Albert Vete agreed a switch from the Robins to the Tigers. However, Vete’s contract with Castleford was cut short last week to facilitate the signing of Tex Hoy, following his release from Hull FC.
Young forward Bailey Dawson also left Rovers to join the Tigers in the same off-season, and just weeks into the 2023 campaign, Will Tate became the latest Hull KR player to make the move to Castleford, signing a deal until the end of 2025.
Three more players made the switch from the Robins last winter, ahead of Craig Lingard’s first season as Castleford’s head coach. Rowan Milnes and Sam Wood joined in time for the start of pre-season, before Luis Johnson became the next Rovers player to swap between the clubs in December.
The latest addition to the list is Louis Senior, who joined Castleford on loan last week, followed by Corey Hall this week.
