Veteran Forward Brad Day Inks Long-Term Contract Extension with Featherstone Rovers
Featherstone, West Yorkshire
In a significant move for the Featherstone Rovers, the club has announced that experienced forward Brad Day has signed a new long-term deal, keeping him at Post Office Road until the end of the 2027 season.
The 30-year-old, who celebrated his birthday in September, returned to Fev for a second stint ahead of the 2023 campaign and has made a total of 49 appearances over the last two seasons. This has taken his overall appearance tally for the club to an impressive 89, with 39 tries scored during his time with the West Yorkshire outfit.
“I absolutely love this club, and everyone involved with it. I never thought about going anywhere else and I’m thrilled to sign a long-term deal and have my future sorted.”
Having reached the milestone of 150 Championship appearances last term, Day will now have the opportunity to add even more games to his CV, as he looks to cement his status as a key figure for Featherstone. Featherstone head coach James Ford echoed the sentiment, praising Day’s impact on the team.
“Re-signing Brad is excellent news for the club. It’s clear for everyone involved with the club to see what a huge impact he has, he was easily one of our best and most consistent performers last year and we’re really happy to sign him up long-term.”
With 203 senior career appearances already under his belt, Day’s experience and reliability will be invaluable as Featherstone Rovers look to build on their achievements in the upcoming 2025 season and beyond.
