Rugby League Newcomers Hull KR Bolster Squad with Impressive Signings
Hull KR are making waves in the Rugby League world as they set out to build a formidable squad under coach Willie Peters. The Robins have demonstrated their ability to challenge the elite teams, recently securing back-to-back wins against Wigan and St Helens. Their journey has continued with a semi-final berth in the Challenge Cup, following their runner-up finish last year, hinting at their potential to break the dominance of the traditional powerhouses.
Signings Bolster Robins’ Squad
This week, the club’s planning for the 2025 season escalated with the signing of highly-rated Hull FC forward Jack Brown. Yusuf Aydin made the move in the opposite direction on a permanent deal. The Robins further bolstered their squad by securing the loan signing of Danny Richardson from Castleford Tigers, adding much-needed depth at the scrum-half position behind Mikey Lewis and Tyrone May.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves: A “Massive Coup” for Hull KR
These latest acquisitions are a testament to Rovers’ impressive work in the transfer market, as they aim to become one of the competition’s most successful teams. Former NRL and Super League forward Matt Adamson, speaking exclusively to Serious About Rugby League, believes the club has already secured a “massive coup” for the 2025 season with the signing of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves from the Sydney Roosters.
“Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will make a huge impact,” Adamson said. “He still plays the game on that knife’s edge in his aggression and the dominance in which he drives the game up front through that middle third. I think he’ll be outstanding and become a real crowd favorite for the whole KR fans.”
The former forward believes Waerea-Hargreaves’ physicality and aggression will thrive in the British game, making him a perfect fit for the KR faithful.
“He suits the British game down to the ground. He is a massive coup for the competition because that’s what fans want to see more of, especially over there, that physicality and aggression that British forwards are known for.”
With these impressive signings, Hull KR are positioning themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Super League, challenging the established order and aiming to bring home the major silverware in the years to come.
