Hull FC Unveil 21-Man Squad for London Broncos Clash, Surprise Omission of New Signing Reynolds
In their upcoming Super League matchup against London Broncos this Sunday, Hull FC have announced their 21-man squad. However, one notable absentee is the club’s new signing, Ben Reynolds, whose exclusion from the lineup has raised some eyebrows.
Reynolds, a former Leigh Leopards star, has had a busy season of transfers so far. He moved to his hometown club of Featherstone Rovers in the off-season, where he was appointed as club captain, but did not feature in a single league game before joining Hull KR. The Robins signed him as a backup for Mikey Lewis and Tyrone May, and Reynolds made a solitary appearance for the club before departing Craven Park.
The versatile half-back has now made a move across the city to Hull FC, with the club confirming his signing earlier this week. Richie Myler, Hull FC’s Director of Rugby, expressed his excitement to see what Reynolds can bring to the team, starting this weekend against the Broncos.
However, the surprise comes as Ben Reynolds has not been named in Hull FC’s 21-man squad for the trip to London. This absence, according to reports, is due to a fresh injury and not a snub.
In Reynolds’ absence, Jack Charles will retain his place in the halves alongside the fit-again Jake Trueman. Charles has been one of the bright spots in an otherwise challenging season for the Black and Whites, and the club will be hoping he can help them secure a much-needed victory against the winless London Broncos.
