Castleford Tigers Climb to Sixth in Super League All-Time Rankings After Leigh Leopards Draw
In a significant achievement, the Castleford Tigers have now secured the sixth spot in the all-time Super League rankings following their recent draw against the Leigh Leopards. The Tigers’ resilient performance on the weekend has continued their recent resurgence under the guidance of coach Craig Lingard.
The latest result has seen the Tigers surpass the Bradford Bulls, who previously held the sixth position with 617 points. Castleford’s tally now stands at 619 points, cementing their place among the league’s most consistent and successful teams since the inception of Super League in 1996.
At the top of the rankings, perennial powerhouses St Helens lead the way with an impressive 1,067 points, while their fierce rivals Wigan Warriors have also crossed the 1,000-point mark, accumulating a total of 1,004 points. Leeds Rhinos occupy the third spot with 918 points, followed by Warrington Wolves (796) and Hull FC (686) in the top five.
“Despite the Tigers’ climb up the standings, they still have ground to make up on fifth-placed Hull FC, who hold a significant 67-point advantage. Meanwhile, their local rivals Hull KR sit just outside the top 12, but with the impending changes under IMG, the Robins may well surpass the London Broncos in the near future.”
At the bottom of the table, the newly rebranded Leigh Leopards find themselves in 17th position, trailing behind the likes of Halifax Panthers and Sheffield Eagles.
