Hull FC Secure Loan Signing of Yusuf Aydin from Rivals Hull KR
In a move that is sure to captivate Rugby League enthusiasts, Hull FC have confirmed the loan signing of forward Yusuf Aydin from their cross-town rivals, Hull KR. The 23-year-old Turkish international joins the Black and Whites on a short-term deal, which the club has described as adding “further depth” to their forward options.
Aydin, who made his debut for Wakefield Trinity in 2020, has since gone on to make 50 senior appearances. This year, he has only featured twice for the Robins, but managed seven appearances in 2023. The young prop forward will now link up with the Hull FC first-team squad ahead of their upcoming Betfred Super League Round 9 fixture against the Leeds Rhinos.
This signing comes on the heels of Hull FC’s recent acquisition of Ed Chamberlain on loan and the permanent addition of winger Tom Briscoe, who rejoins the club on an 18-month contract. With these moves, the club’s Director of Rugby, Richie Myler, is clearly intent on overhauling the squad as he searches for a new permanent head coach following the departure of Tony Smith.
The addition of Aydin is a strategic one, as the Black and Whites look to bolster their forward pack and mount a challenge in the Betfred Super League. Fans will be eager to see the young prop in action as Hull FC face off against the struggling Leeds Rhinos this Sunday at the MKM Stadium.
