Rugby League Enthusiasts Gear Up for 2025 Challenge Cup Finals at Wembley
The Rugby Football League (RFL) has officially announced that the 2025 Challenge Cup finals day will take place on Saturday, June 7, once again at the iconic Wembley Stadium. The occasion was marked by a triumphant return to the national stadium on Saturday, with several exciting matches and record-breaking attendance figures.
Victorious Teams and Record-Breaking Attendance
St Peter’s Catholic High School, St Helens, Wigan Warriors, and Wakefield Trinity emerged victorious in their respective challenges, captivating the 64,845-strong crowd – the best attendance since 2017. Notably, the Women’s Challenge Cup final between St Helens and Leeds Rhinos drew a record-breaking audience of 9,608 inside Wembley.
Tribute to a Rugby League Legend
The rugby league community also came together to pay tribute to the late, great Leeds legend Rob Burrow, whose legacy continues to inspire the sport.
Excitement for 2025 Challenge Cup Finals
Rhodri Jones, the Managing Director of RL Commercial, expressed delight at the steady increase in attendance figures since 2021, attributing it in part to the reversion to a final earlier in the summer. “We are delighted to confirm that Challenge Cup Finals Day will be back at Wembley Stadium on the first Saturday in June in 2025,” he added.
Ticket Information
Tickets for the 2025 finals day are now available, with an early bird discount of 25%. Adult tickets start from £15, while under-16s can attend for £7.50. Family packages are also on offer, currently priced at £18.75 for one adult and two children.
