Wigan Warriors have etched their name among the all-time great Super League sides, becoming only the third team in the modern era to hold all four domestic trophies simultaneously. Their victory in the Challenge Cup final against Warrington Wolves on Saturday solidified their historic haul, sparking debates about where this Wigan team ranks alongside the legendary sides of the past.
Wigan’s success under Matt Peet’s guidance is truly remarkable. The Warriors were simply too strong for their opponents, further cementing their status as one of the most dominant forces in Super League history. The Legendary Teams That Achieved the Domestic Treble
The Bradford Bulls’ all-conquering side of 2003 were the first to secure the domestic treble in the Super League era, edging out Leeds Rhinos in a thrilling Challenge Cup final before going on to top the league table and win the Grand Final against Wigan. They then capped off their remarkable season by defeating the Penrith Panthers to claim the World Club Challenge.

More recently, the St Helens sides that enjoyed four successive Super League titles between 2019 and 2022 were undoubtedly among the strongest club teams the competition has ever seen. The 2019 team, in particular, was a juggernaut, winning 26 of their 29 league games and scoring over 900 points in the process.
