Tiaki Chan’s Loan Extended as Hull FC Bolster Frontline
Hull FC have secured the continued services of Wigan Warriors prop Tiaki Chan, as confirmed by Matt Peet. Originally joining the club on a two-week loan, Chan’s temporary stint will now be extended, with no fixed deadline on the length of the deal or a scheduled return to Wigan training.
“He’s determined to commit himself to that group, he’s stayed there training when they didn’t have a game. I think he wants to earn his stripes there and earn the respect of the Hull players and staff. A real big credit to Tiaki for that.”
Meanwhile, fellow forward Sam Eseh has returned from his loan spell at Castleford Tigers and could feature in Wigan’s 21-man squad for their upcoming clash with Salford. “If he is selected in the 21, I think it will be a great experience for him. To be amongst it, he deserves it the way he’s applied himself.”
With Kaide Ellis and Sam Walters suspended, Peet has confirmed that Mike Cooper and Harvie Hill will step into the Wigan 17. “They both have a physical presence, they’re both very committed players. They’re both well-rounded middle forwards,” the coach said.
