Key Individual Performances Highlight Surprise Results in Round Nine
In the ninth round of Super League, there were several standout individual performances, leading to some surprising results that made the selection of the Love Rugby League Team of the Week particularly challenging.
After extensive deliberation and evaluation, the final team has been chosen, showcasing the top players from the latest round of action.
Standout Performers
Matt Moylan of the Leigh Leopards was at the heart of his side’s 30-2 victory over Catalans Dragons, scoring a try and providing an assist, while making 121 metres from 23 carries in an outstanding display at full-back.
Riley Lumb enjoyed a dream Super League debut for Leeds Rhinos, scoring two tries and earning the Sky Sports Man of the Match award in their 18-12 win at Hull FC, with his 169 metres carried the most of any player on the field.
Peta Hiku was the Man of the Match in Hull KR‘s 26-10 triumph against Wigan Warriors, scoring a try, carrying the ball 14 times for 148 metres, and making three offloads in a dominant centre display.
Despite Huddersfield Giants‘s 13-12 defeat against his former club St Helens, centre Kevin Naiqama deserves recognition for scoring the opening try of the contest.
Ethan Ryan of the Salford Red Devils marked his 150th career appearance in style, named Man of the Match in their 17-12 win over Warrington Wolves, making seven tackles and carrying the ball 11 times with three tackle busts.
Rowan Milnes of the Castleford Tigers impressed in their 40-0 victory over London Broncos, scoring a try, providing an assist, and controlling the play throughout the game, earning the Man of the Match award.

Marc Sneyd of Salford was again instrumental, kicking a drop goal and two conversions in their win over Warrington, while also producing 16 terrific kicks in play.
Tom Amone of Leigh was a standout performer in their win against Catalans, making 160 metres and 32 tackles, while Daryl Clark of St Helens scored a try and made four darts from dummy half in their victory over Huddersfield.
Sauaso Sue of Hull KR opened the scoring against Wigan with a powerful try, contributing 85 metres and 18 tackles, while Kai O’Donnell of Leigh scored two tries and made 32 tackles in their triumph.
Alex Mellor of Castleford had an impressive game, scoring a try, making 178 metres, and 29 tackles, while Cameron Smith of Leeds Rhinos scored the winning try and made 46 tackles in their win over Hull.
