The eighth round of the 2024 Super League season was filled with a multitude of exceptional individual displays, making the selection of the Team of the Week a challenging task. Despite several players narrowly missing out, here is our pick of the top performers from the weekend’s action, with six different clubs represented.

Wigan Warriors’ Bevan French was the standout at full-back in their 36-14 victory over Castleford, scoring the opening try and providing two assists. Huddersfield Giants’ Adam Swift continued his fine form, scoring a try in their 30-24 win at Leeds, while teammate Esan Marsters was awarded the Sky Sports’ man of the match award for his dominant display.

Salford Red Devils duo Nene Macdonald and Deon Cross were instrumental in their 12-4 triumph against London Broncos, with the former named the Sky Sports’ man of the match. Catalans Dragons’ Theo Fages pulled the strings in their 36-6 dismantling of Hull KR, scoring a try and making 30 tackles.

Huddersfield’s Adam Clune led his side around the field superbly in their win at Headingley, setting up a try and scoring one of his own. Warrington Wolves’ James Harrison was a force to be reckoned with in their 16-14 victory over Leigh, while St Helens’ Moses Mbye impressed at hooker in their 58-0 thrashing of Hull FC.

Wigan’s Patrick Mago and Junior Nsemba were influential in the Warriors’ triumph over Castleford, with Nsemba earning the Sky Sports’ man of the match award. Warrington’s Lachlan Fitzgibbon and St Helens’ Morgan Knowles rounded out the team, delivering commanding performances for their respective clubs.
