Salford Red Devils Bolster Front-Row with Signing of French Forward Justin Sangare
Salford, UK – In a significant move, the Salford Red Devils have secured the signing of France international prop Justin Sangare on a two-year contract. The 26-year-old joins the club following his departure from Leeds Rhinos, where he made 42 appearances over the past two seasons.
Sangare, who hails from Mali, will link up with his new Salford teammates as they prepare for the upcoming 2025 campaign. The powerful forward becomes the Red Devils’ fifth new addition for the upcoming season, with the club also welcoming Esan Marsters (Huddersfield Giants), Sam Davis (London Broncos), Chris Hill (Huddersfield), and Joe Bullock (Warrington Wolves).
“I am very happy to join Salford for the next two years,” said Sangare. “There is a lot of potential with this group, and my ambition is to win trophies, which is something the club is striving to achieve. It feels like the perfect move for me, and I am excited to meet the supporters and give everything on the pitch to earn their respect.”
Sangare, who stands at 6ft 4in, will provide significant size and power to Salford’s forward pack, complementing the existing squad. Red Devils head coach Paul Rowley expressed his delight at securing the services of the French international, stating, “I am pleased to welcome Justin to Salford. On behalf of all the group, we are all looking forward to working alongside him with a shared objective of being our absolute best at training and in games.”
Sangare, who made his international debut for France in 2021, has since earned five caps for Les Bleus, including representing the nation at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup.
