Liam Farrell’s Dream Rugby League Line-Up Revealed

Liam Farrell’s Ultimate Team Revealed

Wigan Warriors captain and England international Liam Farrell has revealed his ultimate line-up of players he has played alongside during his illustrious career. The 33-year-old, who has made over 360 appearances for his hometown club and earned 12 England caps, spoke exclusively to Love Rugby League to share his dream team.

Farrell’s selections are a who’s who of Wigan Warriors and England legends, with a perfect blend of skill, physicality, and leadership. Starting from the back, the Wigan skipper has opted for the two-time Man of Steel winner Sam Tomkins, who he describes as “one of the true greats of the game.”

The winger position is filled by another Wigan icon, Josh Charnley, who Farrell believes could end up as the all-time Super League try-scorer. Centres Martin Gleeson and Jake Wardle complete the backline, with Farrell praising Gleeson’s “classy” style and Wardle’s outstanding defensive abilities.

In the halves, Farrell has selected Wigan great Paul Deacon to guide the team around the field, while the dynamic Bevan French gets the nod at stand-off for his “pure ability” and entertainment value.

Up front, the pack is headlined by the likes of Stuart Fielden, Adrian Morley, and Sam Burgess – all renowned for their physicality and dominance. Wigan stalwarts Tommy Leuluai, Ryan Hoffman, and Sean O’Loughlin provide the experience and leadership in the forward pack.

Farrell has also included several of his current Wigan teammates on the bench, including the “toughest player” he has ever played with, Micky McIlorum, as well as the hard-working Luke Thompson and the skillful George Williams.

“Overall, Liam Farrell’s ultimate team is a celebration of the Wigan Warriors and England greats he has had the privilege of playing alongside throughout his impressive career.”
