Leigh Leopards Roar to 40-12 Victory Over Salford Red Devils
In a dominant display, Leigh Leopards secured their third win of the 2024 Super League season on Friday night, thrashing the Salford Red Devils 40-12 at the Leigh Sports Village.
Matt Moylan led the charge for the Leopards, expertly handling the high balls from Salford’s Marc Sneyd and contributing two successful conversions. Umyla Hanley shone brightly with two well-taken tries, while veteran Zak Hardaker maintained his composure, going a perfect 100% with the boot.
“This comprehensive victory showcases the Leopards’ depth and resilience as they continue their push for a top-four finish in the 2024 Super League season.”
The centre pairing of Ricky Leutele and Josh Charnley were rock-solid, with Charnley reaching the remarkable milestone of 300 career tries with a brace of his own. Ben McNamara and Lachlan Lam orchestrated proceedings, the latter earning the Man of the Match accolade alongside Charnley for his playmaking masterclass.
The Leopards’ pack was a force to be reckoned with, led by the powerful Tom Amone and supported by standout displays from Robbie Mulhern, Kai O’Donnell, Frankie Halton, and Owen Trout. Impact substitutes Brad Dwyer and Matt Davis added extra dynamism, while Jack Hughes brought his usual energy and physicality off the bench.
