The talented forward delivered an exceptional display on both sides of the ball, showcasing his all-round abilities. Martin’s kicking prowess was on full display, as he converted all four of Leeds’ tries, including his own, and added three penalty goals to amass a personal tally of 18 points – more than half of the Rhinos’ total score against the Warriors.
In attack, the dynamic forward made an impressive 153 metres from 19 carries, averaging 8 metres per carry. He also contributed 2 clean breaks, 2 tackle busts, and 2 offloads, demonstrating his ability to make valuable ground and create opportunities for his team.
Defensively, Martin was equally impressive, making 27 tackles, with 5 coming from the marker position. His relentless work rate and solid defensive effort ensured the Rhinos maintained control throughout the match.
“Rhyse Martin’s performance was truly exceptional, showcasing his versatility and commitment to the team’s success,” said Leeds head coach, Dave Furner.
With Leeds currently sitting 7th in the Super League table, just 4 points behind the play-off spots, Martin’s performance will be crucial as the Rhinos look to secure a place in the post-season. The 30-year-old will depart the club at the end of the current season, and the Rhinos will be determined to send him off on a high note.
