England’s 2017 World Cup final half-back Kevin Brown has shared his ‘Ultimate Team’ of players he lined up alongside during his illustrious career, as part of a new feature on Love Rugby League.
Brown made over 400 professional appearances, debuting at Wigan Warriors before enjoying long spells at Huddersfield, Warrington, and Widnes. He ended his career at Salford following a loan stint at Leigh, and earned ten international caps for England, including a start at stand-off in the 6-0 World Cup final defeat against Australia in 2017.
Despite Appearing in Four Challenge Cup Finals
Despite appearing in four Challenge Cup finals for four different clubs – Wigan, Huddersfield, Warrington, and Salford – the experienced half-back never tasted victory, suffering defeat on each occasion.
Selecting His ‘Ultimate Team’
Speaking exclusively to Love Rugby League, Brown selected his ultimate 17-man squad, highlighting the exceptional talents he had the privilege of playing alongside over the years. His selections include the likes of Kris Radlinski, Ryan Hall, Gary Connolly, and Kallum Watkins, among other Super League and international stars.
From the consistent and composed Radlinski at full-back to the powerful and clinical Sam Burgess in the back row, Brown’s ‘Ultimate Team’ is a testament to the caliber of players he shared the field with during his illustrious career in rugby league.
