Jordan Abdull’s Loan Spell at Catalans Dragons Ends, Potential Return to Hull FC

Experienced Half-Back’s Loan Spell Ends, Potential Return to Hull FC Looms

A prominent half-back in the Super League has taken a step closer to finalizing his plans for the upcoming season, as it has been confirmed that his current loan arrangement will not be extended for the 2025 campaign. This development has sparked rumors of a potential return to his former club, Hull FC.

Jordan Abdull’s Loan Spell at Catalans Dragons

Jordan Abdull, who joined the Catalans Dragons on a surprise move just prior to the start of the 2023 season, has struggled to make a significant impact in the south of France. The 26-year-old has faced criticism in recent weeks for his role in the Dragons’ offense, which has at times struggled to find its rhythm.

“Catalans Dragons can confirm Jordan Abdull will leave the club at the end of the 2024 season. The England international joined the club on a one-season loan, scoring 3 tries and 36 points in 12 games under the Catalans jersey so far.”

Potential Return to Hull FC

Abdull, who began his Super League career with Hull FC before crossing the city to join Hull KR, may now be on the verge of a sensational return to the club where he started. The experienced half-back has amassed 135 Super League appearances so far, scoring 32 tries in the process.

Abdull’s final appearance for the Dragons came in their recent defeat against the reigning champions, St Helens. Although the Dragons controlled much of the early stages, their attack lacked cohesion and they were unable to capitalize on their pressure.
