Hull FC’s Exciting Plans for Marquee Signings in 2024 Super League Season

Rugby League Club Hull FC Set to Make Marquee Signings for 2024 Season

As the 2024 Super League season approaches, Hull FC, currently sitting second-from-bottom in the league, are poised to make significant moves to bolster their squad. Owner Adam Pearson has revealed that the club is set to bring in two marquee signings in their bid to improve on their disappointing campaign so far.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Post, Pearson expressed his excitement about the potential new additions, stating, > “We’ve signed six or seven already for next year. We’ll probably have two marquee players next season, maybe a third. There’s a couple of very exciting potential signings on the horizon.”

The club’s recent roster changes, including the departures of head coach Tony Smith and key players such as Tex Hoy, Franklin Pele, and Nu Brown, indicate a desire for a fresh start. However, they have also made strategic moves, securing John Cartwright as the new head coach and Richie Myler as the Director of Rugby for the upcoming season.

Pearson highlighted the strong relationship between Cartwright and Myler, stating, > “John [Cartwright] and Richie [Myler] are talking daily. A lot of the targets are players John has coached over the last five to seven years so he’s got a really good handle on the personality and attributes of the player.”

In addition, the club has invested in a new player tracking system, which Pearson believes will give them a competitive edge. > “We’ve invested a significant amount in new software, a database that allows us to track every player in the world on a far more detailed basis. Richie has been key in bringing in that system, which is used by two or three Super League clubs.”

With these strategic moves and the promise of marquee signings, Hull FC is determined to turn their fortunes around and provide their fans with an exciting and successful 2024 Super League season.
