Rugby League News: Ese’ese Available for Key Hull FC Clash
Hull FC’s Herman Ese’ese will be available for selection this weekend, as the investigation into an alleged incident of verbal abuse continues. The allegation was made following the recent match between Hull FC and London Broncos, which London won 34-18 to secure their first Super League victory since 2019.
The RFL has confirmed that London Broncos have submitted their evidence, but it will not be reviewed until Thursday’s Match Review Panel meeting. As a result, Ese’ese is free to play in Hull FC’s crucial Super League clash against Castleford Tigers this weekend.
Ese’ese has been a bright spot in an otherwise challenging season for the Black and Whites, who have won just once so far. The forward picked up a two-match suspension earlier in the campaign but has been a regular fixture in the side, making 10 appearances and scoring his first try for the club in the recent defeat to London.
“With Hull FC currently sitting one place and three points behind Castleford Tigers in the Super League table, the team will be desperate to secure a vital victory this weekend. If results go against them, they could find themselves bottom of the table after Round 12.”
The ongoing investigation into the alleged incident involving Ese’ese will be reviewed on Thursday, and if the Match Review Panel decides there is sufficient evidence to bring a charge, the Hull FC player would be given the opportunity to appeal before the next round of fixtures.
