England and France Rugby League Squads Announced for Mid-Season Test in Toulouse
The England and France national rugby league squads have been revealed for the highly anticipated mid-season Test match taking place this Saturday in Toulouse. The selection of players across the two teams showcases a diverse representation from the Betfred Super League clubs.
Some franchises will enjoy a well-deserved break this weekend, with the Leigh Leopards and Salford Red Devils contributing no players to either squad. In contrast, the reigning Super League and World Champions, Wigan Warriors, and Warrington Wolves have both secured four call-ups each to the England setup.
The Leeds Rhinos have the second-highest representation, with five players split between the England and France teams. However, the standout contribution comes from the French Super League giants, Catalans Dragons, who have an impressive 14 representatives in the two squads.
“While established internationals like George Williams, Ben Currie, Matty Lees, and Jack Welsby have retained their places, the squads also feature several new faces looking to make their mark at the test level. Debutants such as Huddersfield’s Oliver Wilson, Warrington’s James Harrison, and Wigan’s Brad O’Neill will be eager to seize their opportunity on the international stage.”
