Four Debutants Named in England Academy Squad
Four players who have already tasted Super League action have been included in the latest England Academy squad set to face France next month. Paul Anderson’s 21-man group features a host of young talents tipped for bright futures by their respective clubs.
Notable Names in the Squad
Among the notable names are Hull FC’s Jack Charles, Wigan Warriors’ Jack Farrimond, and Warrington Wolves’ Arron Lindop and Cai Taylor-Wray – all of whom have already made their senior debuts in Super League this season.
Charles, the young half-back, has made eight appearances for the struggling Black and Whites, while Farrimond, Lindop, and Taylor-Wray have all enjoyed maiden Super League outings for their clubs in recent months.
Wigan’s Farrimond, who featured in the Warriors’ big win over London Broncos, is expected to push for more first-team opportunities in the coming years, complementing the likes of Bevan French and Harry Smith.
Lindop, meanwhile, marked his Warrington debut with a try against Catalans Dragons, and the teenager has since made two more Super League appearances for the Wolves.
