Bradford Bulls Targeting Halifax Panthers Star Joe Keyes for 2025 Season
Bradford Bulls are reportedly looking to bring back former player Joe Keyes from the Halifax Panthers in 2025, Love Rugby League has learned. Keyes spent four seasons with the Bulls between 2016 and 2019, and briefly returned on loan from Hull Kingston Rovers in 2021.
The half-back, who is currently in his third season with Halifax, has emerged as a key target for the Bulls as they plan for the upcoming season. Keyes signed a one-year deal to extend his stay with the Panthers until the end of 2024, but it appears a move to Bradford is now likely at the conclusion of the current Championship campaign.
“Keyes is now being lined up as a major target to bolster the Bulls’ attack in 2025 as the club continues to strengthen its squad.”
However, Keyes may not be the only Halifax player making the move across West Yorkshire, as Love Rugby League understands that at least two more members of the Panthers’ first-team squad are also being eyed up as potential targets by the Bulls.
The Bradford club has been active in the recruitment market, extending Jayden Okunbor’s loan from Hull FC for another four weeks and signing Max Lehmann from Brisbane Tigers on a deal until the end of the season. Head coach Eamon O’Carroll has also signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at Odsal until at least the end of the 2027 season.
