In an exciting move for Rugby League fans, the Swinton Lions have announced the signing of Reece Briers, the son of Super League icon Lee Briers, for their 2025 campaign. The young playmaker, who is just 21 years old, is set to return from his stint Down Under to join the League 1 outfit.
Reece Briers, like his father, is a talented half-back who honed his skills in the youth ranks at the Warrington Wolves, the club where Lee Briers featured over 400 times and won three Challenge Cup titles. In 2022, the younger Briers showcased his abilities with the North Wales Crusaders in the third tier, helping them reach the play-offs and contributing four tries and a drop goal in 15 appearances.
