Round 6 of the NRL Season Highlights England Internationals’ Impressive Performances
In the match between the Newcastle Knights and Sydney Roosters, Victor Radley produced a standout display for the Roosters, making an impressive 242 metres from 21 carries, including 17 hit ups. Radley, who qualifies to represent England through his father’s side of the family, also made 36 tackles and a line break.
Kai Pearce-Paul, the towering England international, put in his best performance to date in the NRL, despite the Knights’ narrow defeat. Pearce-Paul played the full 80 minutes, making 153 metres from 13 carries, including 13 hit ups, and an impressive 39 tackles in defence.
Scotland international Bailey Hayward made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs in their narrow loss to the Storm, coming off the bench to play 38 minutes and make seven passes and 23 tackles.
Tom Burgess continued his try-scoring form for South Sydney in their defeat to Cronulla, making 161 metres from 17 carries, including 12 hit ups, and 15 tackles in defence.
Morgan Smithies once again topped the tackle charts in Canberra’s golden point win over the Titans, with 43 tackles. The Wigan academy product played the full 91 minutes after it went to extra-time, also making 160 metres from 16 carries, including 16 hit ups and 16 passes.
