North Queensland Cowboys superstar Jason Taumalolo has reportedly turned down an approach from Super League, opting to see out his career in the NRL. His agent, Chris Orr, stated that there were preliminary talks with several clubs, but Taumalolo’s goal is to finish his career as a one-club legend, potentially becoming the first player to reach 300 games for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys were reportedly open to the idea of letting Taumalolo end his contract early, but the player has decided to honor his existing deal, which runs until 2027. This decision means that the Super League will miss out on one of the biggest names in rugby league, as Taumalolo was seen as a potential marquee signing for a European club.
