Rugby League Fans Left Concerned as Hull FC Captain Danny Houghton Sidelined Again with Calf Injury
In a concerning development for Hull FC supporters, veteran hooker and team captain Danny Houghton has been forced off the field during their Round 16 Super League clash against Salford Red Devils, having suffered a recurrence of his calf injury.
The 35-year-old Houghton, who had only recently returned to the Black & Whites’ squad after missing the entirety of June with a similar problem, was replaced by young gun Denive Balmforth just before the half-time break, with Hull leading 6-4 at the time.
