Rugby League News: France Ready to Clash with England in Toulouse
As the rugby league world gears up for an enthralling mid-season test, England coach Shaun Wane will lead his side across the Channel to face France in Toulouse next Saturday, June 29th. The highly anticipated double-header at the Stade Ernest-Wallon will see both the men’s and women’s teams of England and France go head-to-head, followed by a Championship clash between Toulouse Olympique and Featherstone Rovers.
Wane is set to announce his travelling squad on Monday, while France’s Laurent Frayssinous will also name his French squad early next week. In collaboration with He Can Play For on X (formerly Twitter), Love Rugby League has provided a glimpse into how France could potentially line up against the visitors.
The French team is expected to feature a strong contingent of Catalans Dragons players, including the likes of Arthur Mourgue, Fouad Yaha, Arthur Romano, Mathieu Laguerre, and the experienced Theo Fages. Other notable names include Cesar Rouge, Julian Bousquet, Alrix Da Costa, and the current France captain, Ben Garcia.
“With the inclusion of players like Justin Sangare, Romain Navarrete, and Hugo Salabio, the French side boasts a formidable mix of seasoned veterans and promising young talents.”
This clash promises to be a true test of the two nations’ rugby league prowess, as both sides look to secure victory and gain valuable momentum ahead of the upcoming Rugby League World Cup.
