Super League Clubs Hopeful of Luring Wests Tigers Half-back Jayden Sullivan
According to Love Rugby League, Super League clubs are still hopeful of luring promising Wests Tigers half-back Jayden Sullivan to the competition in 2025, despite the player’s determination to fight for his future at the NRL club.
The 22-year-old Sullivan is considered one of the most high-profile names on the current transfer market, with Wests Tigers looking to offload several players, including Sullivan and Brent Naden, as part of a major squad overhaul following a disappointing NRL campaign.
“Although Sullivan reiterated last week that he is committed to his four-year deal with the Tigers, the club is actively shopping the talented half-back to clubs on both sides of the world, even offering to contribute financially to facilitate an exit. With Adam Doueihi’s recent re-signing at Wests, Sullivan’s long-term future at the club appears uncertain.”
While Salford Red Devils were previously identified as the Super League club interested in securing Sullivan’s services, at least one other top-flight English club is now monitoring the player’s situation. The Red Devils were keen to partner Sullivan with Marc Sneyd in a mouthwatering half-back combination in 2025, but the chances of that deal materializing have diminished in recent days.
However, Super League clubs remain ready to strike if no NRL deal is forthcoming for Sullivan elsewhere. Salford have already started to identify possible replacements in case the young playmaker decides to stay put at Wests Tigers.
