The London Broncos will end a near 11-year hiatus from the Twickenham Stoop this Sunday as they welcome the defending Super League champions, St Helens, to their former long-time home ground.
The capital club has called a staggering 14 different venues home during their 44-year history, but the Stoop has undoubtedly been one of their most familiar haunts, hosting 160 Broncos games across all competitions, including their time as the Harlequins.
Memorable Clashes at the Stoop
Ahead of this weekend’s crucial Super League encounter, we take a look back at seven memorable clashes from the Broncos’ extensive history at the Stoop, spanning over two decades and multiple eras for the London-based outfit.
“From their very first game at the ground in 1995, to dramatic victories over the likes of Canberra Raiders and Wigan Warriors, the Stoop has witnessed some iconic moments in the Broncos’ journey.”
As they return to these familiar surroundings, the team will be hoping to channel that rich history and pull off an upset against the league-leading Saints.
