Hull FC Secure Star Playmaker Jordan Abdull’s Return for 2025 Season
In a significant move for the Hull FC club, they have announced the signing of influential half-back Jordan Abdull, who will rejoin the team for the 2025 Betfred Super League season. Abdull, aged 28, will make his long-awaited return to the Black & Whites after a seven-year stint away.
The talented playmaker has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, keeping him at the MKM Stadium until at least the end of the 2027 campaign. Abdull’s homecoming was described as “a significant piece of recruitment” by the club, as they bolster their roster in pursuit of a strong position in the league.
Speaking on the move, Abdull expressed his eagerness to potentially finish his professional rugby league journey at the club where it all started.
“As soon as the opportunity to join Hull FC came about, I saw it as a chance to potentially bring the curtain down on my career at the club where my professional Rugby League journey started,” he said.
The playmaker highlighted the club’s ambition and their ongoing recruitment of the “right sort of players, the right sort of off-field staff, [and] the right sort of coaches” as key factors in his decision to return to West Hull.
Hull FC’s Director of Rugby, Richie Myler, emphasized the significance of securing one of the league’s most exciting English play-makers.
“We’re delighted to bring Jordan back to West Hull in 2025 – securing one of the competition’s most exciting and dangerous English play-makers is significant for us as a club,” Myler commented.
The director praised Abdull’s desire to rejoin the club and expressed excitement about the potential pairing of Abdull and Jake Trueman in the 2025 season, which he believes will thrill the club’s supporters.
