Leeds Rhinos Optimistic as Overseas Recruits Settle In
Leeds Rhinos made several high-profile international signings during the offseason, including Matt Frawley, Brodie Croft, Paul Momirovski, and Lachie Miller. While the new recruits have shown flashes of promise, their start to life at Headingley has been somewhat inconsistent.
Standout Performers and Injury Concerns
Croft has been the standout performer so far, though his impact has been disrupted by injury. Momirovski has also looked solid when available, though fitness issues have limited his playing time. Miller has demonstrated electric ball-handling skills, but his lack of top-flight experience has been evident at times.
The Scrutiny on Matt Frawley
The most scrutinized of the new arrivals has been half-back Frawley, who was brought in to provide organizational leadership. Frawley has faced criticism from fans for his performances, and was even dropped for the victory over London. However, the Australian playmaker produced a much-improved showing in Leeds’ recent win against Castleford, offering hope that he is starting to find his feet.

Frawley, who previously had a spell with Huddersfield Giants, has made 12 appearances for the Rhinos so far this season, scoring two tries and providing four try assists.
