Round 12 of Super League Delivers Standout Performances
Round 12 of Super League was certainly an eventful affair, making the selection for the latest Love Rugby League Team of the Week a challenging task. However, there were several standout performers across the six games, with six different clubs represented in our picks.
Niall Evalds was influential in Hull KR’s 64-14 demolition of London Broncos, scoring two tries and providing four assists as the Robins ran in 11 tries. England Knights international Josh Thewlis put in a hard-working display to help Warrington secure an impressive 16-8 win against Catalans in Perpignan, making 153 metres from 12 carries and kicking four goals.
Papua New Guinea international Rodrick Tai continued to impress for Warrington, making 153 metres from 15 carries and 21 tackles in defence, while also breaking the line and busting five tackles. St Helens’ Mark Percival had arguably his best game in a few years, racking up 147 metres, five tackle busts, and a clean break in their 40-10 victory over Leeds.

Warrington’s England skipper George Williams delivered another masterclass, scoring a try and providing an assist in the win over Catalans. Castleford’s Rowan Milnes put in a man-of-the-match performance in their 30-22 victory over Hull FC, scoring a try, kicking five goals, and making 27 tackles. Teammate Sylvester Namo also had his best game yet for the Tigers, causing plenty of problems for Hull’s defence.
- Lee Leopards’ Edwin Ipape was the star of the show in their 16-10 win over Huddersfield, scoring a try and making 22 tackles.
- St Helens’ George Delaney made 135 metres and 31 tackles after coming on early for the injured Joe Batchelor, while Curtis Sironen was a handful for Leeds, making 123 metres, busting five tackles, and scoring a try.
- Wigan’s Junior Nsemba, still only 19 years old, put in a superb shift, making nine carries and 29 tackles in their win at Salford.
- Finally, Hull KR captain Elliot Minchella continued his impressive start to the season, making 10 carries and 22 tackles in the capital.
