Salford Red Devils Secure Marquee Signing for 2025 Season
Salford Red Devils have pulled off a massive coup, securing the services of Esan Marsters on a three-year deal starting from the 2025 season. The Cook Islands international will seamlessly fit into Paul Rowley’s high-octane style of play, bolstering an already exciting Red Devils lineup for the upcoming campaign.
The retention of head coach Paul Rowley is another significant piece of business for the club. Rowley, who is contracted until the end of 2025, recently turned down an approach from Hull FC, reaffirming his commitment to the Salford project.
With a few roster spots still to be filled, the Red Devils are poised to assemble a formidable squad for the 2025 Super League season. The team is expected to feature a solid spine, including the experienced duo of Ryan Brierley at fullback and Marc Sneyd at half-back. Joining them in the backline will be the dynamic wingers Maika Sivo and Deon Cross, alongside the powerful centers Esan Marsters and Nene Macdonald.
In the forwards, the Red Devils will rely on the hard-hitting combination of Brad Singleton and Jack Ormondroyd in the front row, while the second-row pairing of Kallum Watkins and Shane Wright provides both physicality and leadership. Completing the pack is the energetic loose forward Joe Shorrocks.
“With the core of the squad secured and a few strategic additions, Salford Red Devils’ potential lineup for the 2025 season looks incredibly exciting. The club’s ability to work within a tight budget while recruiting quality players suggests they could mount a strong challenge in the upcoming Super League campaign.”
