Exciting Young Rugby League Talents Emerge Across Super League Squads
Rugby league enthusiasts have much to be excited about as a host of promising young talents have made their mark in the 2024 Super League season. Scouring the squad lists, 12 teenagers have already featured in senior competitive appearances for their clubs this year.
In alphabetical order, let’s take a closer look at these up-and-coming rugby league stars:
Jack Charles (Hull FC, 18)
The half-back has played four games, starting two, and kicked four goals, showcasing his potential despite Hull FC’s struggles with suspensions and injuries.
Alfie Edgell (Leeds Rhinos, 19)
The Rhinos starlet has been thrust into action, making two appearances so far this season after debuting in 2023, and is one to watch for the future of rugby league.
Jack Farrimond (Wigan Warriors, 18)
The playmaker earned a professional deal with the Warriors after impressing in the academy, making his competitive debut against London Broncos.
Adam Holroyd (Warrington Wolves, 19)
The second-rower has featured in all but the opening round for the Wolves, doubling his senior appearances under new boss Sam Burgess.
Arron Lindop (Warrington Wolves, 18)
The youngest player in Super League this year, the winger scored on his debut for the Wolves against Catalans Dragons.
Lewis Martin (Hull FC, 19)
The winger has featured in all but one of Hull FC’s fixtures, scoring two tries, including in their sole victory of the campaign against London Broncos.
Ned McCormack (Leeds Rhinos, 19)
The England rugby union youth international made his senior debut for the Rhinos, coming off the bench against Warrington.
Kai Morgan (Salford Red Devils, 19)
The off-season recruit from Leeds was handed his Salford debut in Round 3 and has since been loaned out to Rochdale Hornets.
Logan Moy (Hull FC, 18)
The versatile youngster made his debut for the Black & Whites in their heavy defeat to Huddersfield Giants.
Junior Nsemba (Wigan Warriors, 19)
The forward scored his first Super League try in Wigan’s Round 7 clash at Leigh Leopards, building on his 15 appearances last season.
Joe Stocks (London Broncos)
The Broncos academy product made his debut off the bench in their Challenge Cup defeat at Warrington.
Max Wood (Warrington Wolves, 19)
The 19-year-old has featured four times for the Wolves this season, and has also had loan spells at Widnes Vikings and Bradford Bulls.
