This would allow the clubs’ loyal supporters to turn out in force for home fixtures, potentially generating a more electrifying atmosphere and better reflecting the passion of rugby league fans.
As the second semi-final between Warrington Wolves and Huddersfield Giants approaches, all eyes will be on the attendance figures, with early reports suggesting ticket sales have struggled even more than for the Wigan-Hull KR clash.
