Warrington Wolves Bolster Prop Options with Signing of Young Talent Daniel Okoro
In a move to strengthen their pack, Warrington Wolves have secured the signing of promising young prop Daniel Okoro from the Bradford Bulls. The 20-year-old Nigerian international has agreed a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
This latest acquisition is part of Warrington’s strategy to build for the future, following the recent contract extensions handed to young prospects Arron Lindop, Luke Thomas, and Max Wood earlier this season. While Wood joined the club after being released by Wigan, Lindop and Thomas have come through the Wire’s academy system, with both players already featuring for the first team this year.
Okoro, standing at 6ft 4in and weighing in at 16 stone, is described as a powerful and talented young prop forward who will bolster Warrington’s options in the front row. The club beat out several other Super League sides to secure his signature, and he will wear the number 37 shirt in the primrose and blue.
The signing comes at an opportune time for the Wolves, who are currently facing a prop crisis due to the two-game ban handed to Paul Vaughan, as well as Joe Philbin and Zane Musgrove undergoing HIA protocols. This situation led the club to recall Max Wood from his loan spell at Bradford, and Okoro will now be available for selection in the coming weeks, just like his fellow young prop.
